Overview: Lehigh Valley International Airport provides Western Pennsylvania and New Jersey residents with a local option for national and international flights. Rather than drive over an hour to Newark or Philadelphia for the same flight, the Allentown-based airport offers its customers with a nearby, hassle-free solution for all of their traveling needs. At LVIA, customers can bypass the traditional stress of a metropolitan airport through closer proximity to the airport, un-crowded and comfortable terminals, and rapid access from parking to your gate.
Problem: Despite offering local residents with a unique and comfortable alternative airport experience with the benefits of a larger airport, LVIA regularly loses potential fliers to the better-known airports in Newark and Philadelphia. User feedback from their website led the board at LVIA to decide that the site needed to integrate web 2.0 tools to become the leading airport website in the nation.
Solution: LVIA chose USA Web to not only create a cleaner and more up-to-date website, but also utilize social media marketing to better reach out to the local client base. We developed the functionality of the website to better facilitate user navigation and create an attractive and helpful design, as well as making the site compatible with mobile devices. To increase their site traffic and convert more visitors into fliers, we have established social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare to better engage with the local community.
